Urban Decay XL Primer Potion

Thank God! My UDPP has finally arrived! I 'm really glad that i was able to try it before the upcoming wedding reception of my cousin. I want to experiment with it first before appyling it in her Big Day. The Genie-In-A-Bottle packaging of this UDPP really caught my attention. But the raving & amazing reviews of every Magazine/Beauty Editors/Makeup addicts all over the world convince me to purchased this product.

It's really impossible for me to have the UDPP stacked along with my other cosmetics without having it's box included. It really looks good with it's whole package displayed in my makeup kit. It's like having a cool trophy displayed and you want to shout it on top of the world about it! LOL! Well anyway, as i was saying..this cool product really looks nice & of course after drooling over it for a couple of hours i decided to try it on my lids to test it first if it suits well and to see if there's an allergy reaction to it. But amazingly it looks nice, just by putting them alone can cover the dark areas of my eyes. So basically it's a 2 in 1, a shadow base and a primer.

Product Reviews:

The product is creamy & really concentrated. Just by putting a small amount of it can go a long way. It contains silicone, so it's s silky, not oily, smells a bit funny but who cares?! i won't be smelling it while it was on my lids right? Eyeshadows appeared more vibrant & pigmented that it really stand-out! It's easy to apply and it saves me time to apply eyeshadows cause i really don't need to apply lots of layer for the colors to appear strong & powerful. Just 1-2 swipes can already build the solid colors. I'm pretty impressed with the result, wearing the eyeshadows for 6 hours and the true colors were still there. No fading/Smudging/Creasing/Smearing while wearing them! It's really a good investment and nevertheless the best one in the market as most reviewer's claims. It holds the eyeshadow longer than i expected even in the midst of perspiration it still appears perfectly flawless. No retouch is needed if you have this amazing bottle with you, without having to constantly check a mirror to touch up your eyes.

Every good product has it's flaws. This cute packaging would one day be sliced open just to get the remaining stuff that clings on the side. It would be really impossible for you to get them all out just by using the old version wand(the straight one). It seems that it's empty but more than 60% are still remaining that you have to cut them open to scoop the remaining out..or otherwise it will be left wasted and a rip-off for paying $22 for a 40% worth of the product. I'm kind of expecting this to happen so i'm seriously looking for some site to guide me properly on how to cut this open. I was kind of hoping that if that day comes i would have the guts to destroy the precious packaging..I know i would be crushed. After all that what caught my attention in the first place. It sucks! One more thing, I felt like it doesnt grab enough of the product with one pull of the wand which i find it a bit dissapointing. I hope they could change this to a squeeze tube instead, same with their newly released Primer Complexion Potion. This Magnum bottle will definetely keep you looking gorgeous for months.

Pros:

-It's a magic! It fulfills 3 wishes: Eyeshadow that lasts, more vibrant color, absolutely NO creasing/fading/Smearing.

-Nice packaging

-A little of it goes a long way.

-Neautralizes my lids, can be used even witout eyeshadow. It covers the dark areas, it acts as a base. So basically it's a 2 in 1 primer.

-Neautral color that immediately gets invisible after application goes with any SKINTONE.

-Relatively affordable cosnsidering how long it lasts and it does the job right.

Cons:

-The packaging, specifically the wand is really a pain. It can't reach some of the stuff especially on the side, that in the end you have no choice but to cut it open to get the remaining out.

Overall Verdict:

Good buy! A Superior product that simply a divine to any makeup junkies! I willingly spend that much & undoubtely i was impressed with it. All you need is a little bit and you are set, dramatic eyeshadows can also be worn on a daily basis as you have this remarkable primer that could hold and extends it's wear. It keeps my eyeshadow looking fresh, perfectly in place and vibrant all day. I didn't regret buying this product as it was serving it's purpose and delivers good quality that leaves me satisfied. My only complaint is their packaging, hope they repackaged soon. The price is a bit pricey but it's an essential! Furthermore, I'm really glad i gave this a shot, makeup never looks so much better!

Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Travel Sets!

Finally! My first review after few months of absence in doing product reviews! As you all know, after couple of weeks doing our household chores left by the Flood..I finally got the chance to try these 2 Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Travel sets(VIP & Velvet Rope) which arrived a month earlier. I'm really really excited to try these on me, though the first time I had them i just tried them on the back of my hands to see the colors. And after seeing it, i can't wait to try them on my eyes!

What it is:

A dynamic eye pencil, in a rainbow of shades.

What it does:

Glide on color that stays put for the duration of your non-stop, on-the-go day! These cushiony, creamy eye pencils deliver powerful, vibrant color that slides on smooth and stays soft and creamy for blending (about 30 seconds), then dries to a long-lasting finish that won't budge. Line eyes with a hint of color or go for the full artistic, multi-hued effect. Truly inspired, these pencils go all day and all night.

They say:

You're always on the run, so Urban Decay gathered five of their best selling 24/7 eye pencils and shrunk them down to fit perfectly in your glove compartment, purse or boyfriend's medicine cabinet (he won't even know it's there). They're a bit cuter, but still just as creamy, blendable, and waterproof. For these 24/7 Pencil sets, “Best Selling” is an understatement! Full of bright tropical hues, the VIP set is back by popular demand. And, making its debut, the new Velvet Rope set features neutral shades that look amazing on anyone. Each Pencil is a slick travel size, making it easy to stash anywhere.

What else you need to know:

Created with 50 percent moisturizing ingredients suspended in a sophisticated waterproof formula, this brilliant collection of eye essentials offers long-lasting color and a dreamy, creamy feel when applied.

Personal Review:

The packaging is really really cute! I just love staring them all day! It was packaged together against a mirrored backdrop! With 5 dazzling shades of eyeliner pencils displayed. But unfortunately after trying them on my eyes they didn't lasts all day, it didn't even lasts all night! They are nice and well pigmented. I love how it glides easily along my lids without worrying of having my lids tugged hard just to fill up the colors. It's creamy texture makes it easier to apply, and the plus side of it; it dries easily that after application and tried blinking lots of times, it doesn't smudged or stick on top of my lids. The colors are really strong, just one light stroke can create a solid line. So far I'm enjoying these eyeliners but i have to reapply every 2-3 hours depending on the activities I'm engaged to. I live in a tropical country, so maybe it's one factor why it fades easily on me while others are raving how much it stayed on them the whole day. I've tried putting them with/without primer but still the result is the same. My lids are not too oily, maybe it's just not a good combination on my skin.

I've also tried them along my waterline and they fades and smeared. I just need to reapply and good thing i bought the travel size so these can easily fit in my purse. So basically it's not waterproof. But it doesn't easily can be removed by water unless you rub it off. I haven't tried it on my lashline yet, but some people says that it's good.

Pros:

-Great & Intense color pay-off.
-Nice array of colors that can suit any mood & lifestyle you're into.
-The creamy substance can help application glides on smoothly & easily.
-No tugging which avoids having your lids wrinkled in the end.
-No Allergy reactions/itching/burning sensation or whatsoever.

Cons:

-It doesn't stay put for long, it does smudge & smears on me.
-It fades in just a small period of time, not a smduge proof/waterproof in my case.
-Eyeliners that need sharpening is already a downside. Automatic eyeliners are still the best.
-It's creamy texture has the risk of breaking off while sharpening it.
-A bit expensive for an eyeliner that doesn't live to what it claims.

Overall Verdict:

-A really nice eyeliner set for a makeup addict like myself but definetely not recommended for people who has oily lids nor people who lives in a humid country. Ironically, I thought this pencils was best for smudging. So i conclude it would be best if it was done along the upper lashline as what other reviewers says. The creamy texture doesn't go well with my skin but it doesn't mean i wouldn't be using them anymore. That's the reason why i bought them in travel size on the first place so i would be able to bring them along with me to have retouch in case they fades off. I'm in a state of experimenting the colors, I blend them with nice color of eyeshadows, it's very impressive especially if you done it well & with a good combination of lovely colors. These eyeliner pencils speaks to everyone's inner party girl.

Coping Up

Dear Readers:

I'm sorry for not updating this blog for a month. It's been awhile since the great typhoon "Ondoy" left us severely damaged. Not only our household stuff were destroyed, some of our pets; our lovebirds(I posted it in my blog last time about it)died during the flood, and it also left us emotionally and physically drained. We had lots of things to do, cleaning, bought new stuffs to replaced the damaged ones, and repaired broken stuffs. We were thankful to God that he left us unharmed despite what happened, lots of people especially our Church members gave us food & groceries during those times. We were very glad that these people showed their love & concern to us. Without them, we would have never been coped up that easily epecially we were in the midst of loneliness & frustrations. They were incredibly supportive throughout everything we've gone through.

I was so happy that after all what happened, our house is once again returning to it's normal & happy surroundings, though there's still part of our hose wherein you could see the crippled woods along our walls but the happy colors were already returning. My dad started to buy fishes to fill up our aquariums, and love birds!!! It's like we are starting all over again, and hopefully this will be the last disastrous thing ever will happen in our life.
