Reviews: Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner Strike It Gold

I was shopping at ebay and with curiosity i finally bought this liquid eyeliner. I'm particularly impressed with this product! it really does have a long staying power and it doesn't run like any other liquid eyeliners i had tried on...so you don't need to reapply in the middle of the day. It is extremely easy to put on, it's just like using a pen and you can draw a very fine line without having it smudged. I applied this liquid eyeliner on my upper lash and it sure looks good on me.:) With the right shade of an eyeshadow, it really standout and gives a defined look around my eyes. This liquid eyeliner is thick so it does not dry out easily, it doesn't crack and surely the true color would stay for long hours. Bought it for 225 pesos, not that pricey and rest assured you'll be more than satisfied after trying this product. Love it!

Reviews: Coastal Scents Ultra Shimmer 88 Palette.:)

I was drawn to this product while surfing and looking for some eyeshadow palettes over the net, so I bought this Coastal Ultra Shimmer 88 Eye Shadow Palette.as soon as possible. And now I am so addicted with it!!!!!:) it is unbelievably cheap and at the same time smooth and highly pigmented. The colors are so vibrant and it really standout. I am so impressed with it’s long staying power, I wore these eyeshadows for more than 10 hours and it doesn’t crease or fades. With great arrays of colors to choose from, you can experiment with it. The moment I got this palette I immediately tried playing with it, tried to mix the colors and the result of it leaves me extremely satisfied. For a good quality palette with an affordable price, it really exceeded my expectation. I only wish I had find out about this product earlier were I attended lots of parties and social events, and this eyeshadows would be great during those times. I love this palette so much, it would be a great gift to somebody who is just starting using cosmetics or a professional makeup artist.:)

Ways to spend your Valentines Day

Is it routinary that you spend your valentines day at the mall or at your favorite restaurant? or plainly spend it at home and talk your hearts out? Here are some romantic ways to spend your valentines day with your significant other, or maybe surprise them with something they are least expecting it. Here's my few suggestions for you:

1) Spend your day with your love one by watching romantic movies with your favorite food to snack on.

2) Have your dinner set at home, with candlelight, a bouquet of flowers, and soothing classical music.

3) Surprise your lover a breakfast in bed with a rose stem and a card.

4) Compile all the songs you have written for him/her, sing it to him/her, and have it compiled in a CD.

5) Go to somewhere romantic like a place with panoramic views, were you can spend with him/her the whole day and reminisce until the sun sets.

6) Decorate her room while she is out..place each rose stem in the doorway and lead it to her room. Sprinkle rose petal in her room and bed. Heart-Shape balloons tied around her bedpost, place Candys, Chocolates, Bears, and some other Heart-Shaped stuff on her table or bed while playing your love songs to her.

7) Change his/her PC desktop to one of your original designs that shows your feeling towards him/her.

8) Give her something what he/she really likes. Maybe a book or a shirt and be sure to wrap it with something or include a thing that will surprise him/her.

9) Make a digital scrapbooking of you and your significant other, make an E-card, and powerpoint presentation. Then save them to a cool USB flashdrive..i think you can buy unique flash drive to some sites that offers cool designs. Save it and place it in a box with ribbons.

10) Make your own Big Pop-up design card with some hidden pockets and have them delivered to your love one.

Badger Sleep Balm

While I was looking for some items at Rustan’s essences, I saw that they’re selling this Badger Sleep balm. I was so curious with it that I ended up buying the product. I tried it that evening, I put a little on my pillow, rub them below my nose, over my lips, and massage it on my temples that in less than 5 minutes I was drift off into a deep sleep. The scent of it was so relaxing and clears my mind from everything. It smells lavender which is known to induce drowsiness and enhance your sleep. It’s a natural remedy for people who has lower level of sleeping problem. It’s ingredients are natural and no harsh chemicals were found that you don’t need to worry of having rashes, allergies or any side effects after applying this balm. A small amount of it will do or otherwise it will left you feeling greasy. I love the packaging of it, it’s easy to apply and very compact that I could bring it anywhere with me.

How I Lose 50 Pounds 3 Years Ago

Having a Hypothyroid makes it hard to lose weight..I strived 2x harder than a normal people who diets in order for me to achieve my desired weight. I'm not allowed to eat any diet pills because it's not safe for me because of the Hypothroid thing, so here's what i did to lose weight.

Lifestyle:

Gym

-3 x a week

-2-3 hours per session(30 mins Cardio, Body Treatment, and Workout)

-Badminton

Food

-Low Fat Milk for breakfast

-1/2 rice for lunch

-dish and no rice for dinner

-Drink lots of water

-South Beach Diet

What motivates me and encourage me to lose:

-every 5 pounds i lose i treat myself a bag of potato chips

-every 10 pounds i lose i buy myself a KFC 2 pcs Chicken meal w/ mash potato(this serves as my reward to encourage me to lose, after all everybody needs to be given something for a job well done.)

-Buy myself a new dress/outfit in 1 size smaller.

-Pictures of me all over my room when i was still a bit slimmer.

Dieting

Been Dieting for the past 2 weeks, ate yucky oatmeal every morning, high fiber diet, playing Dance dance revolution(this is so much fun compared running in the threadmill!), and skipping Junkfoods and some of my usual meal. I lose a total of 6-7pounds, 30 pounds to go...wheeew!!! anyway, i planned to lose weight last 2 weeks ago.. and Damn! it's so hard doing it especially for a food lover like me. If given the chance that i have 1 wish..I'll wish that i could eat anything i want without gaining a single weight. I'm getting so paranoid, like the other day..I only ate an oatmeal for breakfast and half tuna sandwhich for lunch. By late afternoon I was starving and felt sick! I've gotten so dizzy and felt like throwing up so my mom treated me to Kenny rogers and ate a full meal..after that i felt so guilty because i'm used not to get stuffed every meal since the day i diet, so after i got home i played dance dance revolution for 2 1/2 hours!! Crap! My body ache all over the next day. I've been looking for some effective diet pills so i could fasten my weight loss but since i have a Hypothyroid..it's hard to look for safe diet pills. Anyway, i really hope i could lose a total of 20 pounds by april.:) and 10 more pounds before June..That's my goal for this summer!!!!!

Dr. Smith Rosebud Salve

I recently bought this rosebud salve.:) This product was established for more than a hundred years and yet it’s still the best seller and favorites of some celebrities, beauty editors, models, and beauty conscious people. Is it as good as they claim? There's no doubt that this multi-purpose product works well in several ways. As I was reading the info about this product it says that this cult-favorite, multi-purpose lip balm soothes dry lips, calms and heals irritation, and soothes the sting of minor burns. Try dabbing on dry elbows or knees to condition, and relieve dryness, it’s also an excellent remedy for the treatment of diaper rash. And I also discovered that I can use it on my cheeks and brow bones lightly for a soft glow, as well as using it as anti-frizz agent in my hair, and a brow tamer to use with my brow brush. I love the vintage look of it’s packaging, the simplicity of the old fashioned product, the pink color and the rose scent of it. It’s also an amazing treatment for anyone who wants to improve the look and feel of their hands. For a single tin, it can do several things to me. This mild formula contains essential oils that soothes and heals. It works well on my lips somewhat giving it a soft, supple, slightly rose-scented and slightly tinted look.:) I highly recommend this product to everyone. You can’t go wrong with this salve. Well worth the money.:)

Happy Chinese New Year!!!!:)

Chinese New Year falls on the first day of the lunar calendar, the month after the end of Winter. And each year, new years falls on different date so there's no specific day for chinese new year.

Here's an interesting facts of the chinese beliefs and practices:

Clearing Of Debts
-To start off the new year good, old debts are often cleared before Lunar New Year, to avoid shame and misfortune.

Spring Cleaning
-Spring cleaning is held before New Year's Day, to sweep away all the misfortune. This way, the New Year is welcomed with a clean start.

Red Packets
-The best part of Chinese New Year for the children is to receive traditional gifts of money, wrapped up in a red packet called hong bao, from their parents and elderly married persons. The amount in the packet should be an even number, to be lucky and auspicious. Children are expected to accept red packets graciously, with customary good wishes. It is bad manners to open red packets in the presence of others.

Round Fruits
-There should be at least 12 different round fruits on the table

Fireworks
-The fireworks is to scare away all evil spirits and misfortunes, preventing them from coming into the new year.

Dragon Dance
-It is a symbol of strength, goodness, and good luck, and supernatural forces.

Red Clothing
- Color red is commonly worn throughout the Chinese New Year because it is believed that red will scare away evil spirits and bad fortune. In addition, people typically wear new clothes from head to toe to symbolize a new beginning in the new year.

Shou Sui
-It occurs when members of the family gather around throughout the night after the reunion dinner and reminisce about the year that has passed while welcoming the year that has arrived. Some believe that children who Shou Sui will increase the longevity of the parents.

Niangao or Chinese New Year Cake(Tikoy)
-It is considered good luck to eat nian gao during chinese new year because "nian gao" is a homonym for "every year higher and higher."

Counting Money
-It is believed by some chinese that counting the money repeatedly during Chinese New year can bring good fortune.

Good luck:

-Opening windows or doors is considered to bring in the good luck of the new year.
-Switching on the lights for the night is considered good luck to 'scare away' ghosts and spirits of misfortune that may compromise the luck and fortune of the new year.
-Sweets are eaten to ensure the consumer a "sweet" year.
-It is important to have the house completely clean from top to bottom before New Year's Day for good luck in the coming year.
-Some believe that what happens on the first day of the new year reflects the rest of the year to come. Chinese people will often gamble at the beginning of the year, hoping to get luck and prosperity.
-Wearing a new pair of slippers that is bought before the new year, because it means to step on the people who gossip about you.
-The night before the new year, bathe yourself in pomelo leaves and some say that you will be healthy for the rest of the new year.
-Changing different things in the house such as blankets, clothes, mattress covers etc. is also a well respected tradition in terms of cleaning the house in preparation for the new year.

Bad luck:

-Buying a pair of shoes is considered bad luck among some Chinese. The character for "shoe" is a homophone for the character, which means "rough" in Cantonese; in Mandarin it is also a homophone for the character for "evil".
-Getting a hair-cut in the first lunar month puts a curse on maternal uncles. Therefore, people get a hair-cut before the New Year's Eve.
-Washing your hair is also considered to be washing away one's own luck (although modern hygienic concerns take precedence over this tradition)
-Sweeping the floor is usually forbidden on the first day, as it will sweep away the good fortune and luck for the new year.
-Saying words like "finished" and "gone" is inauspicious on the New Year, so sometimes people would avoid these words by saying "I have completed eating my meal" rather than say "I have finished my meal."
-Talking about death is inappropriate for the first few days of Chinese New Year, as it is considered inauspicious.
-Buying (or reading) books is bad luck because the character for "book" is a homonym to the character for "lose".
-Avoid clothes in black and white, as black is a symbol of bad luck, and white is a traditional Chinese funeral colour.
-Foul language is inappropriate during the Chinese New Year.
-Offering anything in fours, as the number four, pronounced sì, can sound like "death", pronounced sĭ, in Chinese. Pronunciations given here are for Mandarin, but the two words are also near-homophones in Cantonese.
