Finally! My first review after few months of absence in doing product reviews! As you all know, after couple of weeks doing our household chores left by the Flood..I finally got the chance to try these 2 Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner Travel sets(VIP & Velvet Rope) which arrived a month earlier. I'm really really excited to try these on me, though the first time I had them i just tried them on the back of my hands to see the colors. And after seeing it, i can't wait to try them on my eyes!

Personal Review:

The packaging is really really cute! I just love staring them all day! It was packaged together against a mirrored backdrop! With 5 dazzling shades of eyeliner pencils displayed. But unfortunately after trying them on my eyes they didn't lasts all day, it didn't even lasts all night! They are nice and well pigmented. I love how it glides easily along my lids without worrying of having my lids tugged hard just to fill up the colors. It's creamy texture makes it easier to apply, and the plus side of it; it dries easily that after application and tried blinking lots of times, it doesn't smudged or stick on top of my lids. The colors are really strong, just one light stroke can create a solid line. So far I'm enjoying these eyeliners but i have to reapply every 2-3 hours depending on the activities I'm engaged to. I live in a tropical country, so maybe it's one factor why it fades easily on me while others are raving how much it stayed on them the whole day. I've tried putting them with/without primer but still the result is the same. My lids are not too oily, maybe it's just not a good combination on my skin.

I've also tried them along my waterline and they fades and smeared. I just need to reapply and good thing i bought the travel size so these can easily fit in my purse. So basically it's not waterproof. But it doesn't easily can be removed by water unless you rub it off. I haven't tried it on my lashline yet, but some people says that it's good.

Pros:

-Great & Intense color pay-off.
-Nice array of colors that can suit any mood & lifestyle you're into.
-The creamy substance can help application glides on smoothly & easily.
-No tugging which avoids having your lids wrinkled in the end.
-No Allergy reactions/itching/burning sensation or whatsoever.

Cons:

-It doesn't stay put for long, it does smudge & smears on me.
-It fades in just a small period of time, not a smduge proof/waterproof in my case.
-Eyeliners that need sharpening is already a downside. Automatic eyeliners are still the best.
-It's creamy texture has the risk of breaking off while sharpening it.
-A bit expensive for an eyeliner that doesn't live to what it claims.

Overall Verdict:

-A really nice eyeliner set for a makeup addict like myself but definetely not recommended for people who has oily lids nor people who lives in a humid country. Ironically, I thought this pencils was best for smudging. So i conclude it would be best if it was done along the upper lashline as what other reviewers says. The creamy texture doesn't go well with my skin but it doesn't mean i wouldn't be using them anymore. That's the reason why i bought them in travel size on the first place so i would be able to bring them along with me to have retouch in case they fades off. I'm in a state of experimenting the colors, I blend them with nice color of eyeshadows, it's very impressive especially if you done it well & with a good combination of lovely colors. These eyeliner pencils speaks to everyone's inner party girl.

Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliners Set on Sale!

I was so furious!!!! I didn't know that Urban decay was having a sale on the 4th week of July! I didn't got the chance to buy their 24/7 eyeliner for $13.99!!! you hear me?! Only $13.99 for the set of Velvet Rope/VIP!!!! It's more than 50% off!! and I blew the chance of buying loads of it. I'm planning to buy lots of so i'll have reserves in case i ran out of that product. The "Sale" was over and it sucks because it was such a Great Deal! Urban Decay don't sell them anymore coz it was a Holiday Item. I can only purchase them from Ebay were sellers would sell them in a high price coz people all over the world are looking for these.

Q: What's your favorite brand of makeup?

A: There are many to mention since I love different kinds of brand but currently my favorite are Urban Decay, Lorac, Benefit Cosmetics & MAC.

Q: What Brand are you planning to try next:

A: Lots! But will have try these first: Kat Von D, Bare Escentuals, Laura Geller, Helena Rubinstein & Stila.

Q: What's your Morning Regimen?

A: Wash my Face with "Faceshop Rice Water Cleansing Foam" and pat it dry with a towel. I always put sunblock on my face whether rain or shine, and it should be at least SPF 30.

Q: How About your Night Regimen?

A: Before anything else, i always removed my make-up with my makeup remover. Always do facial scrub once-twice a week. I apply toner then use shiseido night cream & clinique all about eyes rich cream for a serious moisture undereye treatment.

Q: What is you makeup style?

A: It really depends. When i go to church, i make it as simple as possible. I swipe a chocolate brown across my lids, and highlight my browbone. A little contour for my cheeks and use nude colors for my lips. But whenever I'm at the mall or somewhere else, there's an endless possibility of styles that i always do.

Product Review: Loreal Glam Shine Cream-Glam Red

I've never been a lipstick girl. I could count on my fingers the number of times that i applied lipstick in my whole life. And 85% of it was done by makeup artist to have my pictorial done and some are big occasions like debuts, proms and wedding parties. The reason, primarily is because i hated my lips! It's full and added from deep reds, sweet pink to barely there nudes would make it look too plump and would focus on my lips while wearing it. So i only have gloss and some lip moisturizer with me whenever i go. I really really hated my lips up to the point that i wanted it to be reduced by surgery..My mom already inquired and asked the price and how would be the procedure of it. But they advised us not to do it since it's one of my "assets".

Till one day, I was looking some stash of makeup on my mom's drawer and found a lipstick, i decided to try and put some on. I tried a Bright Deep Reds and to my surprised it looks good on me! So i immediately checked online to look for some lipstick and decided to try the Loreal Glam Shine Cream in Glam red. At first,i'm a bit hesistant to try using it while going out shopping. I'm not used to it since i always wore nude and sweet pink gloss over my lips. But i pulled it off by doing my makeup as simple as possible so it won't look too overdo.


Personal Review:

The silver box packaging of it stands out behind the counter, the lipstick itself is in a silver container with cute pink ring band between the bottom and the lid that makes it look elegant and classy. The product is glossy enough to make my lips appear soft and supple. It also provides all day hydrations that lasts for hours. The texture is creamy and rich, color is really pigmented that shines for hours. A combination of glossy and volume boosting effect really captures the heart of makeup addicts all over the world. It has a pleasant fruity smell that seems so addicting and would want to use it every given opportunity. What impressed me the most is that this wonderful product could conceal my chapped and dry lips because of it's creamy formula. It's staying power is pretty good, that i won't be needing to reapply time to time.

Tips:

-To make your lipstick lasts for long hours, apply lip liner first. That would surely help in making your lipstick stay put for long.

Review: Benefit Benetint

My second review of benefit benetint! Didn't give much elaboration on the first one so i decided to make another for more details.:) Well, I've been using this product for a year and now on my second bottle...I can say that it's one of the best blush i have used! Without a doubt, It was voted "best blush" by Elle magazine in 2006 and was feautured in some magazines for being the best product.

I was pretty amazed the first time i used this, i was using tarte flush and bodyshop lip&cheek tint before and was satisfied with it until i tried this "Award winning and Benefit's best selling product", I was hooked instantly and become a fan of it!!!! At first i resisted to purchase this blush because of the hefty price tag. But the idea looks so promising, i gave in after hearing everybody saying this as the best lip & cheek tint in the market. And they're absolutely right! And now,i have my third bottle waiting when my second one runs out.:)

What I Love About It:

This "sexiest flush you can get from a bottle"has a naturally sheer and sexy on all complexions is buildable from the sheerest application to a bright flush. It work wonders on the lips too, It gives my lips a very natural red tint that suits in any occasion. Just by bringing a bottle of it can give you a pretty look that won't be needing a lot of makeup on. It has an overwhelming scent of roses, that smells pretty good on my cheeks, but it's a bit weird if i put it on my lips coz i can taste the rose petal of it-but i'm already used to it! so no problem bout that.

Directions:

Apply three dots to the apples of your cheeks and blend quickly with fingertips. Add a few more dots for deeper color.

Pros:

-It stays put for a long time! A record for more than 24 hours of wearing it and the bright flush is still there.:)

-It has a water consistency that can easily absorbed by skin to prevent the greasy feeling after application.

-A bottle can lasts you a long time.

Cons:

-The glass container, it has danger for it to be shattered or broken if not handled properly.

-If the benetint isn't capped tightly it will leak all over your purse or makeup case, but if you do capped it too tightly the plastic lid will cracked ruining the sealing mechanism..you won't be able to bring it anywhere with you.

-Rose Extract: Some people may be allergic to it, be cautious and know the ingredients first.

-Pricey, 12.5ml bottle for $28

Tips & Tricks:

-It get dries quickly so blend it asap coz it may look uneven.

-Use a gloss after applying benetint on your lips, to prevent your lips from cracking or drying out.

-Don't use if you're suffering from acne/pimple, it will magnify it.

-Suitable for fair/medium skin tone.

Overall Verdict:

I'm head over heels with this blush! You just need to learn the right technique and you'll surely fall in love with it. I always apply benetint to awaken my complexion, the color looks good and natural on my skin. As for the lips, it has an effect of "eating a cherry popsicle stick". It clings on pretty good, and with it's long lasting effect i won't be needing to go to the bathroom for touch-ups from time to time. It's sheer tint gives you an innocent yet provocative glow that will surely will keep everone guessing “what has she been up to?”. Overall, I'm rapt with this product!

Pop Beauty Palette

My Pop Beauty Palette has arrived!!!! I can't wait to try it out! I adore the wonderful colors that i just can't seem to take my eyes off it. They're so vibrant as well as pigmented that I'm pretty sure my eyes would really pop out.:) I bought 2 of these, the green eyes and the blue eyes. I can't choose between those 2 so i decided to purchase them both. I also love the packaging of it, it looks like a french purse! It's really nice and not that pricey..Will make a review on it after i tried these out!

3) Babies Crying- I'm not a baby hater! okay?:) it' just that i really hate the sound of high pitched noise they're creating!! i know it's pretty normal but hey it's just my opinion.:)

4) No Punctuation Marks- Especially text messages! i really hate it when i received a very long explanation via text without even bothering to put a little comma or period!!! it doesn't make any sense!

EOTD Arabic Eye Makeup

My first attempt of doing Arabic eye makeup! Sorry for the bad lighting..I took this during night time, before i sleep.:) That's the only time i'm available to try this look.:) My photography sucks! and the lighting sucks! so it's a bit blurry and a bit dark so please bear with me.

Reviews: Victoria Secret Cream Eyeshadows Going Green

I bought this eyeshadow on ebay..I'm loving cream eyeshadow at this moment especially the ones that has pearly or metallic effect. After trying it,this product didn't dissapoint me. I simply love it! And i discovered that it seems better as a base. it is highly pigmented and at the same time it lasted a long time than i expected. After a few hours of wearing it, it is still the same the first time i wore it, it doesn't crease or fades. You may use your fingertips in applying or for better result use the right application tool. It's blendable and contour your eyes for sheer or dramatic effect. I only spend a dollar for this product,guess i'm lucky!:) This is definetely one of my good buys!:)

Coastal Palette(Contouring & Blush)

I bought this palette online after i learned how to contour and highlight. Contouring helps in defining and enhancing the facial features..it sculpts and alters your facial structure making it more symmetrical. It will make your face appears more prominent and refined. With the right brushes & application tool you can contour your face easily.

This contour palette is packaged in a black case holding 6 large pans. The powders are all matte, after all you don't want to use shimmer or pearl powders while contouring. The darker brown is used for contouring. By using angled brushes, sweep lightly across the powder make sure that you tapped off the excess, then start swiping it below the cheekbone(be sure to blend it properly), the jawline and your temples. It gives an illusion of slimmer and more defined face, and you may use it on your chin if you have a long chin...you can also apply the darker shade on either side of the bridge of the nose and apply the highlight on the bridge to have an illusion of longer and sharper nose. The white one is for highlighting, swipe it above your cheeks, brow bone, above the lips and forehead. The cream is color is for concealing and the others are blushes for different skintones.

I was impressed with this palette and it's my new everyday essential. Though the only drawback of this product for me is the contouring shade, it is a bit darker for my skintone so i have to control in applying it so it won't look like some dirt spread below my cheekbone. Tip: Use contouring shade that is 2 shades darker of your skintone...i think the contouring shade is 3-4x darker of my skintone. At first, i had been debating with myself whether or not to spend the money on a product that is used for a technique that i never actually tried before, but it's definetely worth trying! To sum it all up, this is such a great deal! For $19, it comes with a huge pans that will last you for a long time. It's a great investment for every makeup professionals and makeup lovers. It's everything you need in one palette. A versatile palette indeed!

Idelible Gel Eyeliner

I've been dying to try this out! Lots of reviews says that this product is easy to apply and glides on very easily. The colors are very intense and defines the eyes. Others claims that it's a smudgeproof and waterproof gel liners which I've been looking for a very long time. Idelible eye liners are quite small in size 4 grams for $8.99, but a little of it goes a long way. There are 13 colors to choose from, and i will be trying the chocolate mousse, magnetism and tanzanite. Before i've known this product i was in the brink of purchasing the MAC fluidline which would cost me around $32 for 3 grams! Thankfully i came across to one of the site that recommends this product, it's cheaper than MAC but delivers that same quality.

Another Set Of Professional Makeup Brush Set!!!

My Mom & Grandma just got back from HK. And you know what my mom bought me?? It's a 16 pcs professional makup brush set!!!!! She bought it from a cosmetic store "SaSa". i'm so happy with it!!! It's my own traveling professional makeup brush set, these handles are much shorter and the whole package are smaller compared to my original set. I can bring it anywhere with me especially if i'm in need of touch ups or in the mood of dollying up my sister whenever we're in the road or someplace else.:) I totally love it! of course it was a gift from my mom.:) I'm glad that they're home, believe it or not but i missed them a lot. Guess, i'm not used of not having them around lol That's all for now.:)

Reviews: Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner Strike It Gold

I was shopping at ebay and with curiosity i finally bought this liquid eyeliner. I'm particularly impressed with this product! it really does have a long staying power and it doesn't run like any other liquid eyeliners i had tried on...so you don't need to reapply in the middle of the day. It is extremely easy to put on, it's just like using a pen and you can draw a very fine line without having it smudged. I applied this liquid eyeliner on my upper lash and it sure looks good on me.:) With the right shade of an eyeshadow, it really standout and gives a defined look around my eyes. This liquid eyeliner is thick so it does not dry out easily, it doesn't crack and surely the true color would stay for long hours. Bought it for 225 pesos, not that pricey and rest assured you'll be more than satisfied after trying this product. Love it!

Reviews: Coastal Scents Ultra Shimmer 88 Palette.:)

I was drawn to this product while surfing and looking for some eyeshadow palettes over the net, so I bought this Coastal Ultra Shimmer 88 Eye Shadow Palette.as soon as possible. And now I am so addicted with it!!!!!:) it is unbelievably cheap and at the same time smooth and highly pigmented. The colors are so vibrant and it really standout. I am so impressed with it’s long staying power, I wore these eyeshadows for more than 10 hours and it doesn’t crease or fades. With great arrays of colors to choose from, you can experiment with it. The moment I got this palette I immediately tried playing with it, tried to mix the colors and the result of it leaves me extremely satisfied. For a good quality palette with an affordable price, it really exceeded my expectation. I only wish I had find out about this product earlier were I attended lots of parties and social events, and this eyeshadows would be great during those times. I love this palette so much, it would be a great gift to somebody who is just starting using cosmetics or a professional makeup artist.:)

Bloom Eye Paint

I was at Shangrila last week when I saw that Beauty Bar is having a Marked Down Sale. After browsing for a short period of time, I saw this eye paint...Original Price was more than 500php but I bought it for only 308php. I chose the mauve because I don’t have that color yet for an eyeshadow. So I tried it the next day, and I was so amazed with this product because a little of it goes a long way for me. It’s a cream type and set to a shimmering powder finish. I love the metallic color of it, not too bold and it’s so natural. It is highly pigmented and has amazing staying power so need to apply every now and then. It is smooth and easy to apply. Can be applied using fingertips or eyeshadow brush. I’m planning to purchase all the colors available..Love it!

Dilemma!!!!!

I’m in a state of dilemma!!!! I love the MAC Sculpt and Shape as well as the Stila Contouring Trio. I’ve been thinking of purchasing but I don’t know which of them is better. This is my first time to learn how to contour, I learned in one of the site that gives free tutorial and after watching it, I’m so anxious to have one so I could try it on me. Contouring helps in softening the features as well as giving the illusion of having a slimmer face and sharper nose, high lightening, and enhancing the features. Product Review: Jones Soda Co. Turkey & Gravy Lipbalm

Jones Soda Co. is known as a U.S Beverage Company that distributes soft drinks, non-carbonated beverages, energy drinks, and candy. They have been known to have carbonated drinks with unusual flavor that other soft drink companies doesn’t offer. They also come up with Non-Beverage products such as this lipbalm. It’s a limited edition that features UV-A and UV-B protection, SPF 15, Aloe Vera, and Vitamin E. I’ve been dying to get my hands on this lipbalm but unnfortunately it was too expensive, but I’m still looking for bargains. Well, as I was reading some of the reviews regarding the flavor of this balm, they say that it smells like turkey and mashed potatoes- oily, greasy, and starchy. Kinda weird for a lipbalm, but for a balm collector, it’s like winning trophy. The novelty of this product is so intriguing that it would be an excellent collection. Other available flavors are: Green Apple, Fufu Berry, Orange & Cream, Strawberry Lime, Cream Soda, and Blue Bubble Gum. Hopefully I could manage to get hold of one.

Product Review: Benefit That Gal

I bought this product for the reason of it's good reviews, and i was so intrigue with it's brightening effect. This product actually make my face smoother and brighter at the same time but in natural effect. I have to reapply every other hour because it doesn't stay put on my face for long because of the hot weather. It also moisturize the face, and definetely it's a big no-no for people who has oily skin. For application just twist the base until the primer is distributed on the top. Apply with fingertips onto the face. Blend this silky pink primer in an even, upward motion. This primer can be wear alone or as makeup base. It definetely covers the pores or blackheads, and it makes the face appear radiant with soft & silky finish. It is easy to apply, it's a silky liquid type so it can easily be spread and it absorbs instantly after application. The floral scent of it adds sexiness. It's a bit expensive, but definetely worth it.:)
